My name is Stephanie Rae Ortiz and, I’m so Blessed to have your time an attention while here visiting my blog! Thank you.

I’ve started this blog with a heart’s desire to inspire others in their life as a Woman, Wife and a Momma in Christ! 

I thank Heaven that Life hasn’t exposed me to everything and by no means am I a super-human, fashion guru or, certified make-up professional but I am often asked to share tips about my Hair & Make-Up or where I’ve purchased certain items (i.e. accessories, apparel and, beauty products) and I’ve received tons of private messages and public encouragements about being an encouraging light of God’s Goodness and Grace in today’s day & age. So I’ve decided that now is the time to buckle down and start sharing all I have with you Beautiful People!

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’m a Bi-Racial Beauté that was born on October 8th, 1984 to a Caucasian fifteen year-old single momma who just about adopted me out but once she seen me she just couldn’t make that her reality so she kept me! Although I was the only child to my Birth Mother & Father I was raised by my Mom and Dad as the oldest of their six beautiful children, seven including me which made for a busy life indeed filled with plenty of memories. I grew up constantly surrounded by people obviously but always appreciated my personal space even if I could only find it in my mind or just before bedtime. My favorite pastimes were Journaling; Art; I loved drawing Butterflies and Horses, Music; I loved listening to Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Xscape, Destiny’s Child, Jagged Edge, Tupac, Keith Sweat, Ginuwine, Aaliyah and, K.P. & Envy’s Shorty Swing My Way, I always would put on little concerts for my siblings and put together talent shows while Mom and Dad were out, naturally I had to run the entire show and be the star of the show, heaven help me! I also enjoyed watching movies and imitating the characters by quoting the lines and we would all have to guess what movie it was that we were quoting, good times. Sports was such a big part of our lives as well I started when I was seven with T-Ball and Basketball, continued to play Softball through eighth grade. In my freshman year I tried a season of summer league girl’s fast pitch and hated it! I was always that girl on the court sporting a glittery shadow or lip, I loved makeup since like forever. I remember sitting in the hallway just outside of the bathroom admiring my mom as she would get ready for the day, curling her hair – big hair don’t care and applying her makeup! I would sneak a peek at her products all the time. I just couldn’t wait until the day I could actually buy and wear makeup of my own! So, I was the girly-sports lover. I did stick with Basketball all through high-school and my first year of college. I have such a love and passion for Basketball, it still has a special place in my heart – spaulding is a true love that’s for sure! There was a pivotal point in my life during my eighth-grade year of middle school that continued to impact my life in significant ways all the way through my high-school years but those stories I’ll leave as to be continued…

In the Spring of 1999 I gave My Heart, My Soul, My Mind, My Spirit, My entire Life to Christ. I was baptized in water in the Summer of 1999 and received the Baptismal of the Holy Spirit in the Fall of 1999. The intimate and passionate relationship that ignited My Heart for God was and is to this very day Stronger than any relationship made out of flesh and bone. It was in such a desperate hour He became My Refuge, My Strength, My only Truth, My Song, My Confidant, My Redeemer with such an Amazing Grace. It’s God’s Amazing Love that reached down and rescued me; for God so Loved the world that He gave His only Son that who so ever would believe in Him shall not parish but shall have Everlasting Life. Through all of my Mountains and Valleys He is Forever Faithful and True. We have been through a many of seasons and He’s never given up on me. The best place I have ever been on this earth is in the Presence of the Lord God Almighty worshiping Him and leading others into the Holy of Holies. Such an Honor, Privilege and, Joy! Thankful every hour for God’s Saving Grace, for I know I am nothing without thee. He is my All and All, He alone is the one Worthy of all my Praise, and I can tell you right now that giving my life to Christ has been thee Ultimate Best decision I’ve Ever made. Thank you Jesus for your Precious Blood and Amazing Grace.

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’, is one of my favorite verses and continually is in my heart.

MY FAMILY, MY BLESSINGS

On April 8, 2006 I married a God Fearing, Good-Looking inside & out, Sound, Good Hearted, Hard Working, Great Conversationalist, Focused, Laid Back, Fun &, Patient Man named Wilfred Ortiz who can make me laugh harder than anybody! Marriage has been so barely credible. So Awesome. More than I ever truly could have imagined it to be. It has beyond a doubt been “Thee All Time 2nd Best Decision (Christ 1st) in My Lifetime”. I love Will with all of my heart, mind, body & soul and next to Jesus he and our children make me whole! He has given me such a great perspective of what Love really means with a firm commitment, faith & perseverance.

He loves unconditionally and graciously. His heart is beautiful! He has shown me so much in just the short time that we have been joined as one, he has really gotten to know me and loves me for me. The unity that we share with the Lord really has grounded me and encouraged me to be me, a better me actually!

This is our marital life verse, as we believe that marriage can be one of the greatest, most effective tools to prepare our entire beings for eternity. I’d say that marriage has served as my step 1 in becoming selfless.

Our Prince Charming, arrived in September of 2008 full of Joy & Peace, he’s prophetic and has a heart for God’s Word, Very athletic, Loves Basketball, Football, Baseball, Soccer, you name it and he’s game, naturally talented! A great leader and is such a Smart & Wise young man, such a blessing!

Our Little Darling arrived just shortly after our son, 13 months later actually, in October of 2009 full of Grace & Strength. She is such a beautiful soul with the sweetest of hearts! She smiles so big that her eyes just about close and her top lip disappears (just like mine)! Her Smile is just So Cute & So Contagious! She Loves to Worship the Lord in Song, Is a very talented Dancer, she’s super creative, fashionable & fancy, quite discerning and sound in her thoughts, artistic and she appreciates order. She’s a Free Spirit with a Beautiful Soul! Such a pleasure and so easy to be around!

Perceptions What you Think You know, you more than likely truly have no idea when it comes to people. I’ve found it to be better to love than to get caught up perceiving, for when you love you learn and when you learn you grow!

Random Facts about Me

  • I am African-American & Caucasian (not Latina)
  • I am an introvert, but since I’m otherwise colorful, people don’t expect this
  • I like to bump Lecrae & Tripp Lee talking about Jesus & Peeps
  • I like my car to be black on black
  • I am the oldest of 8 children between my mother & father
  • I can totally be obsessed with everything being orderly! OCD issues, on the contrary I really don’t care to do, clean or organize something unless it’s done perfectly! Help Me Lord
  • I like Nail Polish and mainly stick to Pinks, Reds and, Nudes!
  • I prefer My car to be Black on Black, Black car with Black Interior (kid smart) and it has to be a smooth ride! Totally have gotten motion sickness since I was a little lamb, so the smoother the better!
  • I never leave home without my Cellie Tellie, My Make-Up Bag & a Little bit of Glam!
  • My Favorite Snacks are: Homemade Guacamole with Tostino’s Catina Tortilla Chips, Lemon Crème Covered Almonds, Red Vines or Specialty Licorice, Apple Tarts, Lemon Loafs and, I’m kind of obsessed with Peanut Butter!
  • My Favorite Way to Relax & Pamper myself on a given Day would be to: Sleep without an Alarm, Wake up to Mimosa’s and a Good Cup of Coffee, Fresh Fruit aside of a Croissant, then head to enjoy a 1 hour massage, manicure, pedicure, a few hours of shopping & ending with an adventure and a great dinner with my family!
  • My Favorite Season is: Fall! I just love the brisk air and the Beautiful Colors revealed on Earth! It just makes for the Perfect Cuddle Weather and is full of, Bonn-Fires, S’mores, Chai Tea Lattes, Walks with Talks, Cardigans, Cable Knit Sweaters, Cute Booties, UGG Boots, Cozy Socks, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pecan Pie, Apple Cider, Pumpkin Patches, Flannel, Faux Fur and Goodness! Oh, and I lalalalove Fall!
  • My Favorite Movies are: Crash. Selena. Dirty Dancing. The Passion. Clueless. The War. Bodyguard. Fast & Furious (all of them). Legally Blonde. Lady & The Tramp. Little Mermaid. The Help. Lion King. Avatar. My Girl. I am Sam. Free Willy. Up Close & Personal. Dangerous Minds. & Remember the Titans.
  • I do my best to live my life as free from negativity as can be and tend to be really protective of inviting any negative people into our personal lives & space.
  • My priorities are definitely My Relationship with My Lord & Savior. My Friendship, Covenant & Marital Relation with my Honey Love Will Ortiz and, My Responsibility, Honor & Privilege I have in the Relationship with Our Children & Managing Me.
  • I strive to surround myself with all that is lovely, things that beam me. Simple. Elegant. Proper. Lively. Feminine. Comedy, I LOVE to Laugh! I mean laughing is like my favorite thing.

At the end of it all, I am just and ordinary girl with a dream and high hopes that one day God will use me to do something extraordinary for His Glory. Praying what I share will invest Confidence and Encouragement in your lives some way, somehow.
