Hello Gorgeous!

Happy Friday! I don’t know where this week went, truly flew by. I woke up on Thursday thinking it was Tuesday, all good things! 😉

So here we are, already here on the 12th day of 2018. Almost putting half of the 1st month behind us. As the years pass it’s clear the days pass so fast. All the sequences of moments that we call ‘now’ are to be seized and made extraordinary. Making the Most of even the Littlest Things and finding new ways to celebrate life, inspire me. Which brings me to my first favorite of the week! My first favorite this week is a phrase believe it or not! It goes along with the vibe of my 2018 in so many ways.

CARPE DIEM

Carpe Diem (defined): Used to urge someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.

Now I am a avid planner so I’ve had a good amount of time devoted to planning for this year however I guess I’m so into the Carpe Diem Vibes because I’m loving taking each day as it comes and enjoying every moment! I feel so present in the ‘now’ and so aware and it feels so good to be so mindful and present for all the ‘now’s’.

Erin Condren Planner

I know I’ve mentioned my love for Erin Condren Planners before on my blog and I still love them. The cover I picked this year is a beautiful watercolor print of THE WORLD and it’s so inspiring to me. Every time I look at it, I am inspired to pray for the world and my desire to travel only increases!

As a Wife, Mother of Two, Blogger and, Full Time Analyst for one of the world’s largest capital goods companies, my days FLY by!

So I find that I rely heavily on pens & paper and yes I totally understand that I would be considered old-school in this aspect but it is what works for me. And I don’t know about you but there is just something amazing and inspiring when I am able to check items off as accomplishments on my to-do lists.

By doing what you love you inspire and awaken the hearts of those around you and this planner really is a great tool that keeps me on track and helps me keep my priorities in perspective so I stay on track of doing what I love day by day!

So with all that said, if you are looking for a great planner, I can personally & highly recommend the Erin Condren Planners (here). This is my third year with them. I love the quality and I save them as they serve as a journal in a great way, recording all of what we’ve done.

This guy here, my first born, my smart guy, my little handsome man is such an amazing person! If there was one thing I could say about him… it would be that his heart is so sweet. He such a kind hearted kid and every moment I have with him is truly a gift. I cherish our talks the most. A lot of people don’t get to enjoy this part of Will as he doesn’t freely share his thoughts with everyone until & if he’s comfortable but oh how I love how he shares his heart with his Momma! I consider it a privilege & an honor and for it I am blessed. When he talks, I am listening! I love him so much and I love loving him. He is growing up on me a little bit! I’m just such a proud Momma Bear. He’s one of my favorites every week but this week, he let me capture these photos so I’m sharing them with you as they are a highlight of my week indeed!

DANCE MOMS

I am only 5 seasons late, haha! But I have been watching season 5 of Dance Moms on Hulu and I enjoy how it inspires my Mackenzie to dance and create dances of her own when it’s on. It inspires her to be more creative and tap into those talents she has and I just love seeing that come alive in her when we watch this show together!

Hello & Happy New Year My Beautiful Friends,

It’s been a while and oh how I’ve missed you. I’ve been a little consumed with work, enjoying time with my husband, raising our little loves, managing home, preparing for & enjoying the holidays, along with every moment of our time with family and I’ve somewhat neglected my blog yet I took some time to plan out 2018 and let’s just say I’m uber excited about it!

What an amazing year we closed out in 2017! Lots and lots of hard work accomplished.

I am so happy to have gotten www.stephanieraeortiz.com off the ground, up and running. I have a lot planned for this year’s blog and I’m so excited to share the little bits of our life with you all! I’m really pumped and excited for 2018!

So in 2017 I published 28 of the 52 blogs that I set out to accomplish but I couldn’t be happier with the blogs that were published in my first year. I acknowledge the struggle I faced when it came to not being as prepared yet desiring to still publish content on the blog and quite honestly it goes back to what my Great Grandpa would say ‘ Plan your work & work your plan’ and I didn’t have a plan I just had the desire to publish 52 blogs last year yet I didn’t know what was going to be behind those 52 blogs so I got caught in the creativity trap so to speak however, I’m more well prepared for this year and looking forward to all the goodness! All of your support in 2017 is savored & appreciated and hope you enjoy all I share in the years to come!

Our Australian Golden Labradoodle Sweet, Sofia Reign Ortiz is the BEST! She was born July 16, 2017. She is a true combination of her Mohter ‘Sailor’ and father ‘Micah (here). We adopted her officially in early October. We actually were planning to only Puppy Sit for our friends Abby & Bryce while they were out of town for the weekend and it just so happened they were actually looking for an adoptive family and we were so excited to Puppy Sit as we were considering buying a Golden Doodle for Christmas so it was the perfect timing. We were actively looking (here) and had been in contact with a few breeders at that point. We were originally considering a male pup and planned to name him Samson Rock Ortiz however after a little research we could have went either way truly so when Sofia (formerly known as Maple) arrived we were smitten and it was love at first sight. She is just the sweetest being.

Sofia Reign is Affectionate and Oh So Cuddly like the English Cocker Spaniel. We love nose kisses, I put my nose to her cute little black snout & she just soaks in all the lovin!
She is Super Intelligent like the Poodle, Loyal and Devoted like the Labrador. Totally Sporty and Loves to do Tricks like the Irish Water Spaniel. She is Great with all People Simply the Best! Australian Labradoodles are Allergy Friendly and Non-Shedding so that’s also an added bonus and she is soooo soft!

Happy Friday, Who is ready for the weekend? It seems as though it’s been a L-O-N-G week and I’m ready for our busy weekend but the weekend none the less! Today I’m sharing Five Faves from the Week, enjoy!

Friday Favorites

Pumpkin Farms are my Favorite! Will and I were chatting the other day and we noticed that we are more drawn to the Farms with lots of Farm Life. Those geared more towards celebrating the Harvest rather than those directed more towards just Pumpkins & Halloween themes and what not. One of our favorites is Green Meadows Pumpkin Farm it’s about a 30 minutes scenic country road route that is just so beautiful come Fall! This farm is a long time Family Favorite of ours, for years now. Every year we make the time to head on out, enjoy the scenic route, country roads, farm animals, apple cider, hay rides and, of course pumpkins! Here are a few snaps from our trip out this year.

This was the first year that we could get Will Jr. to pick up or even hold the chicks & rooster’s and here he caught one on his own! Such a happy moment and HayHay is one of the farms favorites and Will caught HayHay! 😉

What’s Up Wednesday!

Well, well, well a lot of LIFE has been lived and celebrated and cherished this month! October is my favorite perhaps because my daughter was born in this month, I was born in this month, everyone just seems so happy in October to me. October just makes me OH-SO-HAPPY! Even the tree’s beam happy as they reveal their true colors. It’s truly just the best!

Soaking up all things FALL with my beautiful FAMILY! This weekend we have our last run at the Pumpkin Farms before they close so we plan to fit in two more Fun Farm Trips before we wrap up that part of the season!

Planning a slight overhaul on our Main Living Room and a few updates in our Master Bedroom! I want to update a few of our Main Living Room Furniture Pieces as well as change a few things in our Master. So I’m slowly but surely getting through that.

WHAT IM EXCITED ABOUT

Coaching Girls Basketball. Practices start this week and I’m excited for my second season of coaching these amazing and talented young leaders!

It’s such a privilege to be a role model to these young girls and it inspires me to see our future look so BRIGHT and it’s so refreshing to see our young leaders out and about in our community active and doing what they love. To be an encourager of all good things to this coming generation is an honor, truly even in the littlest way.

One on One time with My Handsome Love is a favorite of mine. He is so compassionate, sweet, kind-hearted, strong, loving, caring, attentive and affectionate and so so much more and for every moment that I get with him one on one is a special little treasure whether it be our lunch dates, coffee talks and walks, dinner dates or one on one time at night when the kids are asleep I just cherish my undivided attention time with him.

MY MAKE-UP LATELY | FALL 2017

Today’s blog post is going to be all about My Make-Up Lately.

So if you know me at all, you probably know that I love Make-Up! I always have and I’m sure I always will. Every fall I just get so inspired to shop for a few new favorite finds in the beauty department and today I’m going to share with you a some of my favorite picks I’ve found this fall. I hope you can find a few new suggestions for yourself that you’d like to give a try as well! Enjoy.

Below is some of my personal feedback on each of the items, how I use them and what my thoughts are of them.

1 | Estee Lauder The Smoother Universal Perfecting Primer I have mentioned this product now a few times and I really do love it! In short it seems to minimize the appearance of pores and bring a real perfecting foundation prior to me applying my foundation + it literally helps to keep all my make-up in place all the day long! You can purchase (here) to try for yourself. What I love about this most is that I am so picky when it comes to products that I apply to my skin and this has a real satin smooth finish and is not sticky in any shape or form nor has it proven to clog any of my pores! I’m in love with it.

2 | MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Spf 15 – I wear NC42 True Medium Golden This foundation is great for me. I feel that it provides a natural matte finish and it’s not full coverage (which I like) but it’s buildable without looking like cake face in the event you did need to build for more coverage. You can purchase (here) however I suggest going into the store and/or calling their Beauty department so they can assist in matching you. (always remember that Nordstrom has free shipping & free returns)

3 |Anastasia ‘Dipbrow Pomade’ in Ebony along with a duo eyebrow brush like (this) $3 one for application has been what I use for my brows for years now. Love these products! To purchase the Dipbrown click (here). This past year I’ve added this Volumizer by Maybelline to keep all my hairs in place and I love the volume & dimension it adds, you can purchase that (here).

4 | Stila Written In The Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set I have this in the Kitten Karma and just apply a little to my ‘lid only’. I highly recommend this set because I love the one I have and paid that much for just the one. This way you will get to try them all and with the Holidays coming up I think I will pick up this set also because ,well it’s going to be just the perfect amount of glitz & sparkle for the holidays. 5 | I recently was trying out a few primers and tried the benefit primer on my eyelids for some odd reason and LOVE it! So random – I know, but it works great for keeping my shadow on and in place without creasing throughout the day. You can purchase the benefit primer (here) My recent go to eyeshadow has been this basic brown by Urban Decay in the color Secret Service you can purchase that (here)

6 | L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Macara in Blackest Black is every bit of AMAZING and uber affordable! You can purchase (here)

I see they have this in a ‘duo set’ that couples this amazing mascara with their primer. I have used the Volumious Primer before in past and it is well known to add so much length prior to your mascara application. Just need to give it time to dry prior to applying your mascara. 7 | Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder is used to set under my eyes and any place that may typically be known to be more oily or more prone to crease my foundation/concealer. You can purchase the Setting Powder (here) I set my under eyes with this tapered brush from Sigma – truly love this brush. It’s pretty much perfection.

8 | Speaking of Concealer, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer is a good go to of mine for M-F. I guess my faves so far in this category are by MAC, Maybelline, IT Cosmetics and, Tarte. Love the concealers that I’ve tried so far from those brands. You can pick up the Maybelline Age Rewind (here)

9 | Benefit Dandelion Shy Beam Matte Liquid Highlighter for highlighting, just a drop will do ya! I apply highlighter at the tip of my nose and at the peak at my cheekbones.

10 | Stila ‘Stay All Day’ Bronzer For Face & Body in Medium is what I use to add warmth and definition to my face.

11 | Nars Blush – Deep Throat on the apples of my cheeks is just bliss. I also love their Orgasm & Super Orgasm blush as well. I believe it’s MAC has a Peachy Keen blush that is much like Nars Orgasm also. It’s a pinky coral with Gold Specks in it, just makes you glow!

Friday Favorites

Hello My Beautiful Friends,

It finally feels like Fall ya’ll and I’m loving it! I haven’t personally had to wear a jacket as I’ve been just fine with my sweaters and long sleeve blouses this week but I’ve brought my favorite leopard scarf along for my commutes and it’s been just enough. With the fall temps I’ve officially had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte. I ordered a tall in a grande with a little more milk and it was perfection!

Today I will be sharing Five Faves from this past week, I hope you all enjoy these little tidbits of our life in today’s blog! Will and I have off again this Friday, We are going to enjoy another day one on one! I love days like this.

My favorite part of this week is we celebrated this sweet and beautiful joy of life! She is 8 and 8 is Great! She loves everything Fall. We all love this baby girl so much. She will forever be our baby and Will’s baby sister. The card he made for his sister just melted my heart, it had little ‘Dear Mackenzie notes throughout the inside and it was an 8×10 card filled with lots of love!

We sort of made the entire week special starting on Sunday! We love celebrating life and our children’s special days – or weeks 😉 are no exception! She is such a Sweet, Bright, Fun-Loving, Bold, Determined, God Fearing, Jesus Loving, Tender Hearted, Awesomely Super Young girl. We enjoyed a fun family outing last weekend and she planned her entire evening the day of her actual Birthday! She loves all things fall and picked out this cute pumpkin dress to wear on her Birthday! I just love her so much!

Spending time with my girl, is the best, We went to Starbucks she ordered a ‘Kid’s White Mocha’ is what she calls it but it’s really a Kid’s White Hot Cocoa and then headed to the Nail Salon for Mani’s and Pedi’s!

Mackenzie chose a Fall Theme for her nails.

Orange on all with Leaf designs on her nails and a Fox on her toes.

& I opted for a Pink. 😉

After Mani’s & Pedi’s we went to Jo Don Farms a Private Owned Rescue Zoo here in our County and I love this Lions Roar! Wow is it powerful!!! I also love how close you can get to the animals.

This sweet girl is a fave this week for sure also! We have been puppy sitting her this week and have the chance to adopt her. She is a Golden Labradoodle and oh so Sweet! We took her for her first ‘Puppacino’ and was that the most precious moment ever! Not kidding, so cute and her nose would just get stuck in the cup and it was so hilarious! I’m telling you so much extra joy has she brought into our house and lots and lots of snuggly love.

Time with Friends is the best! Enjoyed going to watch Will Jr’s old Football Team this last Saturday. The day was perfect for Football.

I have been loving this plaid flannel top. It’s from Milegaers last year and still held up so well, the brand is RAG and the colors are my fave! Their Fashion show is coming up here soon. I have modeled in it for the last 3-4 years I believe and it’s such a good time. I love all the ladies I model with and the crowd is just the BEST! Highly recommend if you are in the area! FALL TAG | 2017

Hello Friends,

In case you didn’t know. . . .

I’m so happy sweater weather has officially arrived! The Crisp Leaves, Fall Walks, Football Games, Specialty Coffee’s, Hayrides, Apple Cider, Caramel Apples, Pecan Pie, Snuggling & Cuddling, Crisp Air, Bonfires & S’mores, Scarves & Layers, Hot Cocoa’s, Pumpkin Patches, Rust & Camel Attire, Lots & Lots of Leopard, Late Nights & Early Mornings, Sweaters & Fleece, Fur Throws & Candles, Autumn Leaves, Apple Picking & Pops of Turquoise. . . . are just a few reasons I’m lover of all things Autumn year after year!

Although it’s been in the 80’s & 90’s this past week I’m so ready for the Pumpkin Spice & Chai Tea Latte’s, Apple Cider Donuts, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, Bonfires with S’mores and. . . Sweater Weather! So today I’m sharing a FALL TAG with you all.

It’s pretty official when the leaves of the trees begin to change colors & fall to the ground. Our neighbor has a Sugar Maple Tree and we get to enjoy the sun-setting through our picture window in our front family room and when the sun hits that Sweet Sugar Maple Tree, it’s the most beautiful thing! That’s my sure sign that Autumn is here! I Love how all the Autumn colors appear, The Oranges, Greens, Yellows and, Reds that along with the fresh crisp morning air and beautiful Pink, Orange & Purple Skies are my sure signs that Autumn is officially here!

FRIDAY FAVES | SEPT 29

Happy Friday!

It’s the last Friday of the Month and just two full days away from October! I love the fall ya’ll. Although I kind of can’t believe we are this close to the end of the year. Today I’m sharing Five Friday Faves with you!

HAPPY NATIONAL COFFEE DAY TO ALL MY COFFEE LOVERS!

First Up, we had so much fun at my Husband Alma Mater football game & our towns Party on the Pavement! Will’s Alma Mater was looking pretty good the entire game – they won! My boy now can’t wait to be an Angel! I love fun filled days like this! Party on the Pavement or Cement Fest as Will Junior called it (lol) 🙂 is always such a good time for our community to come together and just enjoy themselves. I love large community outings!

It’s typically cooler on this day however it was a whopping 90 degrees and I wore black for some odd reason so it was a HOT one to say the least.

I love running into friends especially those you haven’t seen in a while! The pavements were packed with tons of fun little events like face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon animals, swords & crowns, bikers & tricks, chalk murals, delicious roasted corn – in the 90 degree weather, live music, glass blowing & wood carving demo’s, a unique & antique car show, dance competitions, fun high-school fundraisers like water dunking tanks & pies in the face, baggo games played in the middle of Main Street (we hung out here for a while), bounce houses, tall slides, ice-cream, dancing and much more, all while some pretty sweet Star Wars characters roamed the streets of Downtown Racine with us! After that we ran a few errands and enjoyed dinner together back at home! What a fun fall day!

We have a google home voice activated speaker and we love it! It’s pretty handy actually and of course the kids have had a few laughs with her! It also is pretty nice for me to speak what I need from the grocery store and she will add it to my shopping list. Oh and this is what I’ve been using to listen to google playlists and the speaker is actually pretty great! I really do love it. You can purchase (here)

Okay my friends, every single night this week at Dinner we have been playing a round or two of Loaded Questions! I know not all families have the opportunity to sit down every night together for dinner and we are so thankful that we are able to do so, as I do believe it’s so important to a strong bonded family.

But, even if just once or twice you sit down together as a family for dinner during the week – go and buy this game and pull it out at dinner time! The kids were all smiles when I told them this is what we’d be doing at dinner this week! Haha, this game will bring dinner alive in a new way – no joke, SO FUNNY! We have laughed so much more this week at dinner with this game and it’s great to know how well we know each other by our answers. Transitional Fall Layers are kicking off here in Wisconsin since we are finally experiencing some cooler temps! Spending time with these Nino’s has been a fave of mine this week. Even just hanging out in their rooms with them, cuddling in their beds with them, just being around them! They got flu shots this week and it’s not a fave of mine that they got shots but their little comments in the doctor’s office and Mackenzie ‘needing’ her big brother to hold her hand, so she could squeeze was just so sweet! That and me holding Mackenzie like a baby and just holding her so tight and her placing her ear on my heart were a few of my favorite moments from this week!
